A great participatory performance/game especially commissioned for the Air Affair in Dumfries & Galloway the Low Flying Chicken Squadron ( Wanlockhead Air Base ) was established in August 2000. |

pilots were given crash (?) courses in very very low flying, issued with
instant flying licences and a set of wings and sent roaring away over the
slopes of the Southern Uplands every fifteen minutes under the expert leadership
of veteran aviator Wing Commander Jeremia Cox OBE. |

Happily The Squadron is now able to set up airfields at any outdoor event in the UK that offers at least 15 yards for an instant runway. With state of the art air traffic control we can land just about anywhere! |
