Pirates

Perfect for the waterfront or riverside festivals and events:

An engaging and garrulous threesome rogues with plenty of attitude - Captain Coat-Hanger, Princess Shaharezar and Bonestitcher ( Don’t ask! ), Gutrot, Dogbreath, Blackeye and Dolly Roger have all sailed in the Molly-Rose at one time or another, from the smuggling havens of the Sollway Firth to the murky waters of Leith Docks and the fair ports of the Murray Firth.

The three you'll meet were on board when she hit the rocks last night just round the headland here - and they have plenty to say about who was to blame for that little miscalculation!

Is this the right way?

But here now on the busy quayside amongst the boats and the merry crowds there is business to be attended to – barrels to be rolled, and indeed walked upon, jewellery to be examined and bartered, a new boat to buy ( well not exactly buy, maybe ) and most importantly . . . a new crew to be recruited to sail her.

Enthusiastic youngsters all get a chance to take their Seadog Tests - which everyone who gives it a fair shot will pass. And while the crew may sing, dance, make merry , swap yarns with passers by or argue loudly among themselves. There is never any real danger or offence to the public. For the crew is in port and struggling against all the odds to be on its best behaviour and anyway . . . Customs and Exercise might be about.

At Tall Ships Races, Harbour Festivals, or struggling up river to the town gala Captain Coat-Hanger and Crew have turned up all over the place to the dismay and delight of thousands. Maybe they’ll sail your way this year? . . . . .
